This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you enquire, book or talk with us, we may collect:
- your name, email address and phone number
- the trip you are interested in, travel dates, number of travellers and any message you send us
- details needed to make a booking, such as the full names and dates of birth of travellers, passport details, frequent flyer numbers and payment details
- information you choose to share about special needs, such as dietary or medical requirements or accessibility needs, so suppliers can look after you. We only collect this with your consent.
We also collect basic technical information when you use our website, such as your browser type and the pages you visit, through cookies.
How we collect it
We collect information directly from you: through the enquiry forms on this website, by email, by phone, or in person at our Springvale office. If you book for other travellers, please make sure they are happy for you to give us their details.
Why we use it
- to answer your enquiry and send you quotes and itineraries
- to book and manage your travel with airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, insurers and other suppliers
- to process payments and issue travel documents
- to meet our legal obligations, including travel, visa and immigration requirements
- to improve our website and services
We will only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
To arrange your travel, we share the details each booking needs with the travel suppliers involved. Many of them are based overseas, for example airlines, hotels and tour operators in the countries you visit, so your information may be sent to the countries on your itinerary. We also use trusted service providers to run our website and handle enquiries, including our web hosting provider and our website and marketing agency, which receives copies of website enquiries so none are missed. We do not sell your personal information.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. This includes secure website connections (HTTPS), access controls and keeping our systems up to date. We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.
